COVID-19 DRY ICE

There is an urgent need to create an ultra-low temperature cold chain in order to keep vaccines below arctic temperatures. Cold Freight Services is committed to being a valuable resource in making sure these critical products maintain at the proper temperature, from manufacturer to end user.

Dry ice, comprised of frozen and compressed carbon dioxide, will be essential in the safe distribution of vaccines to Americans in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19. Dry ice is -109 degrees Fahrenheit and can maintain the required temperatures for the vaccines to travel, and the sublimation leaves almost no residue behind. This method has been recognized as efficient and effective in transporting vaccines from distribution centers to hospitals, labs and other points where vaccines will be made available.

Cold Freight CEO David Gill is the driving force behind his company's involvement with the vaccine distribution. "We are ready to step up," he says. "This is a critical phase in our battle against the virus and we are willing and able to get dry ice where it is most needed. We are honored to partner with the distribution arm of the COVID-19 vaccine and to contribute our experience and resources to make it happen."

Cold Freight Services is uniquely positioned to be a major dry ice supplier to help with delivery of COVID-19 vaccines. The company is prepared to be a critical function in providing millions of vaccines within the temperature thresholds required.
